The successful development of the Kolberg keyboard glockenspiel is based on decades of experience in the construction of glockenspiels.
The interplay of carefully tuned bars, especially developed heads of the hammers and individual resonators results in the highly resonant sound. A modified Renner (Stuttgart) mechanism allows a very sensitive play and brilliant repetition. Of course there is an overall pedal damper as well as a damping mechanism for the individual notes, activated by the special technique of playing. The instrument is protected by a sturdy solid wood case on robust double locking casters, which makes transport safe and easy.
